This review of Vino 9 Market will turn out a little different than most that I’ve done. At some point we may be able to make the trip to actually check them out but this one comes from a very special birthday party we attended. My cousin brought the bbq from Vino 9 Market for the event. Stay with me and see why this one is special to us.
Where is Vino 9 Market Located?
Well according to the Vino 9 Market website they are located on Charles Town Rd. in Paeonian Springs, VA. Honestly until recently I could not have told you where this was. Turns out my cousin Richard and his wife Vickie live there. I just thought they lived in Leesburg. So for those who don’t know, Paeonian Springs is just west of Leesburg off of Highway 7. This is in Northern Virginia between Winchester and Washington DC. Beautiful part of our state.
The Event:
As I said we were attending a very special event. My Great-uncle LA was celebrating his 90th birthday. It was such a privilege for Tammy and me to attend. Uncle LA was the minister that married us, let’s just say a long time ago. He always teased us wanting to know if we wanted the 5 or 10 year plan. We went for the lifetime and thus far has been a pretty good deal. Uncle LA was an avid Harley-Davidson rider as long as he was able to ride. He showed up at our wedding rehearsal on his Harley and Tammy panicked. He assured her he would drive his car on the day of the wedding. On his 89th birthday he was taken to a local Harley dealership, his birthday wish was just to be able to sit on one again. They made his wish come true.
This year for his 90th he received an even bigger surprise when a group of Harley riders showed up to give him a ride on one. What a thrill for him and a blessing to the family they were able to make this happen for him. The happiness Uncle LA experienced and the opportunity to celebrate with our family makes this so special to us.
Our Choices From Vino 9 Market:
We actually only had one choice from Vino 9 Market. All the other wonderful sides were provided by family and friends of the family. So let’s talk about the Q for a minute. The Pulled Pork was wonderful. It was very lean and had a nice smoke flavor with just a hint of vinegar. No sauce needed here. And kudos go out to the ladies in the kitchen at the party for not drying it out when it was reheated. That usually turns into the biggest problem when someone reheats bbq. Nice job.
Desserts:
As you can figure, we had cake and ice cream for dessert. Everything at this birthday party was great. Richard also offered his dad a very nice sized bowl of ice cream since Uncle LA says you can never have too much. I think he was surprised.
Final Thoughts:
My wish for Vino 9 Market is for us to be able to visit their location. Their bbq was luscious and makes me want to try the rest of the menu. Yes I did check out their website to see the menu and it sounds great. One day when we make it up there I’ll do an update for them. Based on just the bbq, I’d recommend giving this place a try if you travel anywhere near Leesburg. Google them, you’re not too far away. I look forward to visiting there in the near future. I promise to give a better review once we get up there.
Now For Your Thoughts:
I would still love to hear what others out there think. Tell us about Vino 9 Market. You definitely know more about them than I do. Let others know what they are like. Here’s your chance to talk us into a visit up there to check them out. What are some other items that we need to try?
I look forward to hearing from you. Just leave your comments and I’ll post them as soon as possible.
I always encourage you to share this review on Facebook and other social media sites. Follow us on Facebook to see where else we go.
